Silly When Tired
D. was tired. He worked until 9 pm. today. I was tired, too.
We barely talked. We were that tired.
“How was your day?”
“Busy. Yours?”
“Ditto.”
Silence.
…
“You okay?”
“Yup. Why?’
“Well, busy days like this, I feel bad 'cause you might think I’m…”
“That you’re neglecting me?”
“Yeah.”
“Nah. Don’t worry about it.”
“You know you’re #1, right? Oops…”
“Hey!”
“I know, I know. You don’t like it when I say that 'cause…”
“There can be only one!”
I’m gonna go hide under the covers now.
