Political Greetings

Unless you've been living under a rock, it's hard to ignore all the 2008 presidential election politicking going on, especially since the Iowa primary is coming up in a few weeks.

Most of the frontrunners have released their holiday ads, and this one by Barack Obama is my favorite because it's the least self-serving and patronizing of the lot.

It's simple, straightforward, with a good message: "we all have a stake in each other and something larger than ourselves". Perhaps a bit naive, given the environment of political animosity nowadays, but an ideal thing to strive for just the same. Their girls are adorable, too.
